What is your favorite book or book series.
I love the Wicked Years series by Gregory Maguire and Wicked is my favorite book of all time.

It's a tie between the Harry Potter series, Percy Jackson series, and the Inkworld series.

how good are the Percy Jackson books ive seen the movie loved it, however i'm a bit annoyed I saw the movie before the book.
Anyway back on topic well I dont really have a fave all my books are my faves but if i really had to pick one, well I would say Lord of the Rings hand down, it may be a adults book but it was my first big one i really read I was most likely (I think) around about 6, 7 or 8 around about when the film came out. I surprised everyone by understanding it to.

The Books are amazing! I was surprised how much the movie followed the book. Maybe 1-3 parts were left out or changed, but the way they did it was really cool!

It was an unfilmable book as well apparently because it was supposed to be hard on getting certain bits in chronological order, say sherlobs layer and battle of gondor.
But i loved the books and I do agree they kept to the books rather well unlike the harry potter films(mubble mubble) I was annoyed about the last two made.

You know I've never read any of his books. I've seen the too movies but never read the books. Is it true that the books are way different than the movies?

The movies miss out alot of the important parts of the books to save time. Even though the movies are good, in my opinion the books are far more superior

Exactly. I would make it a point to read the book again right before seeing the Harry Potter movies solely so I could point out everything wrong with the movies. I hate it how hollywood ruins great books with terrible movies
